I am so lucky to have a comfy workspace inside. When it rains here, it really rains. I felt so bad for the actors today…
I started the day by adding gold-paint to some of the choir belts. I haven´t really found any really good metallic fabric-paints, so I use acrylics. Since it´s outdoor, it certainly won´t do any harm. It will disappear (partly) in a washing machine, but not in heavy rain.

Continued by sewing pants, a tunic-top and a golden belt for Odin. All inpurple hues, of course. After all, he is practically the king of Norse mythology. (Hence “reign” in the title. Purple or scarlet has always been concidered a color for royalty as it was the most difficult and therefore most expensive color to make)

And talking of Odin: Here modeled by the set-designer, Robbie, who took the cape for a twirl and swirl…
He hung out with us today, making a huge textile viking ship.

And here is my good helper, Kathrine, working on one of the belts.
So where was I? Yes, after Odin, I started working on the main costume. (In every show there is one show-stopper-costume. Or should be, at least) On my work-space right now is the dress for the Valkyrie. Which is actually more like a singing flowy, air-creature than a female warrior.

So color of the day is definitely purple. Which breaks with lavender, salmon, aubergine, pink, wine, grey and gold.
