Janne Iren Robberstad is the coordinator of the EU Erasmus+ GSO4SCHOOL, a Strategic Partnership project in 5 countries.
She is the Production Manager of the Global Science Opera which was the H2020 SWAFS project “Developing an Engaging Science Classroom (Creations)” International flagship initiative during the years 2016-2018 (globalscienceopera.com).
Robberstad is a PhD-student and an Assistant Professor at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), connected to the Faculty of Education, Arts and Sports. In her PhD-work she researches the relationship between sustainability and creativity in an artistic design-process within education.
She coordinated of the EU Erasmus+ “Creativity, Arts and Science in Education” (CASE) a Strategic Partnership project in 5 countries.
She is also involved in developing “Global Hands-On Ocean”, as part of her participation in the Norwegian Research Council’s INTPART iScope-project focusing on advancing knowledge on ocean-health in education.
Through these projects, she has taught internationally in a variety of EU-funded (and other) contexts, including arts education workshops in Japan, USA, Brazil, Sao Tome & Principe, Portugal and Chile. Her work-experience includes 15 years in the folk high schools teaching theatre, fashion- and costume-design and arts and crafts. She has also earned a living as a visual artist and scenographer in her own company for over a decade. Robberstad has a masters degree in creative disciplines and learning-processes from HVL.
