Illustration Friday´s theme today is Acrobat. I immediately thought of this picture I made for one of the bigger ships I´ve made artwork for, Skandi Acergy. This is a young boy and his Grandfather showing off their acrobatic skills. The original photo of them was taken around 1950 in Austevoll.
But these are best acrobats I´ve ever seen. I´ve even been so lucky to see them live in Las Vegas.

Love your picture. It’s like a image out of a dream.
Heisann!
Dette var jo midt i blinken!
Du kombinerer gamle foto og ny, digital teknologi på en så spennende måte.
Jeg tydde også til noe jeg hadde liggende denne gangen, men fiksa litt på det, så det ble mer akrobatikk!
Ha go’ hælj ;:OD)
There was a comment that got lost on it´s way here from …:
Beautiful image & delicious textures! I’m a big Cirque fan too– their costumes are as amazing as their skills.
Oh I love how you tease the image out of the woodgrain! I just saw a ‘towards abstraction ‘exhibition in Sydney where their idea (whistler et al) was to have everything on the picture plane and reduce the spatial depth in a work.
I think they lost a lot of street cred for me when I read that.
cheers 🙂
oh curiousartlab rocks eh?
