the answer and then some

The answer to yesterday´s little quiz is: It´s a giraffe! The neck of a giraffe to be exact. Yesterday was the Norwegian National day, and I celebrated at home quietly painting and drawing giraffes  At the bottom I´ll reveal the winner of the little goody give-away and a the prize.

Giraffes have the funniest faces! They´re odd-shaped with bulges going in all directions, weird things sticking out of their head, and yet a serious Bambi-look with eye-lashes that flutter from here to eternity… How can you not like them?!

We have a couple of christenings coming up soon, and I thought this might be a fun little acrylic painting for a child´s room. Inspired by the VERY cool Jennifer Mercede´s funky-cool giraffes.

Another one, this is the bearded lady-giraffe. But she´s being proud and standing tall, just like her mother told her!

And the third is a little miniature one, about a square inch, soon to be on it´s way to Sandy Martin

And finally, this is the little goody give-away prize:

The oversized ears just make him even funnier, and it makes the motto: “Be proud- stand tall!” even better.

I got a lot of good suggestions to yesterdays quiz. It was, clearly, a giraffe´s neck, which Elise answered straight away (for those of you who don´t read Norwegian). Another good suggestion was that it was my new stockings I really would have liked stockings like that! Even more creative suggestions were tentacles on a octopus or a ham-on-marzipan-roll (eehh… yuk?).

And the winner is for the best answer  (ok, I admit I asked Mr Random to help me out, because I thought there were so many good suggestions) goes to Jo for her suggestion of Strawberry-tattoos on an arm!
