The big experiment!

Well, what do you know. I´m finished! The biggest picture needs another coat of varnish tomorrow, but all the experimental painting that I´ve been so nervous about, is done. And it turned out quite good. If I have to say so myself

Here are some photos of the last part of the process.

Mixing up new colors and adding water to make them more fluid.

Here is an exert from the original big wooden picture. (The first one is a bit unsharp because of the photo-conditions.Also the second one is taken in daylight, so that´s why the colors are colder on that one.)

After I´ve added more paint to soften the motif.

And after adding the four different layers of aging- and cracking-varnish.

Thursday I´m heading over to the café who commisioned the pictures, and hopefully we´ll get them up when I´m there. Yay! I´m so excited! Of course I´ll post pictures to share with you.
