Trades from Tammy

I promise this will be my last Christmas-post! But I just have to share with you all the wonders I got in my surprise-trade-package from my artist-friend Tammy McGee in Canada.

Now don´t you just love this little snow-girl she´s made from an old salt-shaker?!! You can see more of them right here. Her body is filled with pearls, and her hair is made of snow-flakes and more pearls. A-dor-able!!!

Look at all this yummy stuff she sent me! The beads and the pendant in the middle is inspiring me to make more jewelry.

And talking of which, how lovely are these earrings?! She´s etched the pattern in the brass (I have to learn that!), the pearls are real fresh water pearls, and the studs are sterling silver. I know she´s made more, so if you want a pair, head on over to her blog, and get in touch with her. I´m sure she´ll sell you some. And she does them in all colors.

Doing trades like this is such fun, like with the Christmas ornaments too. For people who simply love to create, making something for someone you know will truly appreciate it, feels like a gift in itself. I can´t recommend it enough!

  1. How cute! I’ll have to remember that for next year. Loved all the ideas the last few days, the doily runner (I have a ton of old doilies!), the canvas-painting tote, the fabulous charm bracelets — my house is full of the materials, and you’ve supplied the inspiration!

  2. Nothing makes me happier than if I can inspire! I hope you blog about your creative makings

  3. Thanks so much Janne for all the wonderful compliments about your treats. :o) You are so great! Also I did just read about the paintbrushes coming my way! Oh, I want to cry! Thank you for the wonderful gift. Not been having the best month, so you and my mom ( for nominating me) really made my week. xoxo Tam
