This is my Grandmother. Or rather a textile, fabric-painted, appliqued, machine-embroidered portrait of her. It is still a work in progress, a couple of things that need altering. The picture itself will straighten up quite a bit once it is mounted on a proper frame that you can push apart with those little plugs. (What are they called in English?) As it is now, there are extra shadows from the folds in the fabric.
Maybe this is what I´ll look like in 50 years from now….?
This is one of the workshops I will be teaching in Portland next week. Yikes! Time flies! Especially when you´re packing, and preparing for workshops 🙂
Hi Janne, You may be too busy to have read my email – anyway, see you next week!
Are you thinking of canvas?
I just love looking at all your very unique and creative art! I wish I was as talented a painter as you are! Enjoy your time in the States, Portland is a fantastic city!
XOXO Lindsay
No, it´s not a canvas, just the wooden frame that the canvas is mounted/fastened on.
Thank you so much, I am so glad you like my art! 🙂
