Weekend with Michelle

Spending the weekend with my adopted American family (they adopted me šŸ™‚ It really feels like coming home: going to JessĀ“ soccer-game, or helping Alexis with her hair before sheĀ“s off to home-coming. Gosh! I can still remember when I went to home-coming in the 7th grade! Man, that feels like itĀ“s half a century ago! (I know itĀ“s not that long, but if certainly feels like it sometimes.)

Michelle and Alexis making a Pink Ladies jacket. Rock was the evening“s theme.

Visiting our local JoAnn“s craft-shop. (I love the coupon-system! The till-lady shaved $70 off my bill!)

An Italian evening with friends and OMG-delicious food!

JessĀ“ soccerteam played hard in the rain. The game was good, but watching the parents was really entertaining. This is an hard-core audience! šŸ™‚

No, seriously, I think American parents are really good in supporting their kids in their activities. They make a social outing of it, and it becomes a whole little community of people who meet every Sunday and experience something together.

My little tucan, made in preparation for tomorrow“s workshop, mainly to renew my acquaintance with Michelle“s sewing machine. He“s looking a little pale here. GIF-files often do that.

Well, I am now checked into my Embassy Suite, with both a living-room and a tea-kitchen, bath and bedroom. Wow. A lot of space here! I can have my own arting-evenings in my dining-area! šŸ˜€
