My niece just turned 8, and loves everything pink. Her wish-list contained Barbie-dolls, and Barbie-clothes, and Barbie-this and Barbie-that.
I picked up the pink theme, and made her a pure satin-silk cover for her pillow. The fabric is a remnant for some costume-dresses I made some years ago.
I printed on a big flower with gold-colored acrylic paint. Unfortunately I still haven´t found any good metallic textile-paints, but I´ve noticed that the acrylic paint will at least partly stay on for light washes.
In addition I made these little earrings for her. Pink freshwater-pearls with silver-colored metal. So hopefully, now she´ll be pretty in pink, and have sweet dreams 🙂
I am sure she is a happy little princess!
