I´ve told you about the calendar I made for Finnaas Kraftlag, my local electrical company, presenting a month at a time here on the blog. They wanted some of the pictures from the calendar on the walls in one of their meeting rooms. So here are the four pictures they choose.
First out is Siggjo, the vulcano-shaped mountain, that you can see where-ever you are on the island. All pictures are 50×70 cm (ca 20×27,5 inches)
Next out is the purple ferry.
And then Trettholmen. Such a characteristic island to the north-west, and a favored motif for me.
All the pictures are printed on brushed aluminum. And the picture that looks the most different from paper to aluminum is the Summer-dream picture.
All white areas in the picture, are without color on the aluminum, which means, that where it´s white, it turns to silver. The original above, the aluminum below.
And a little extract to show the brushed surface. It looks really good in the light. In a shaded area, it looks darker than it really is. Pros and cons.
Here is what the room looks like after they put up the pictures:
Wow, they look great — I would look forward to going to meetings there. 🙂
