This week I started off painting a bridge. The premiere of “Trollspeilet”(/ “The Enhanted Mirror”) will premiere in only a month. Based on old Norwegian fairy-tales it´s a family-show. And a dear folk-tale is the one of the three goats wandering off to the mountains for summer, walking across a bridge with a troll underneath who threatens to eat them. The mountain that we´ve been (still are) working on will be on each side of the bridge. It will look great once it´s all finished and put together. Lots of layers to go to make it look old, so still plenty of good hours on this piece.
I´ve also had a completely different task this week: being a back-up for wardrobe on Beethoven! (Which means that this week, I´ve only followed the girl who does it, but in case she gets sick, I can take over.) BEETHOVEN! The coolest show on earth this year! (I´ll bet!) It´s world-premiere is this coming Saturday. I have tickets, and am giddy as a child to see it!
This picture is taken from the wing. In it you can see the painter Turner balancing on his brush, held by Darwin. In the background (look up) you can see Mandela in his prison-cell. Confused? It´s all about overcoming struggles & sorrows & not giving in to fate, but overcoming it and doing something remarkable!
