A bunch of little old ladies is what turned up when I started making this years Christmas tree ornaments for our swap. I thought I was going to make a snowman. Or a penguin. I had even thought of a moose (for natural reasons… mooses have been on my mind the past months) But no. These ladies appeared.
They´re not very Christmassy, I admit. They´re even a bit tall to hang on a tree, at ca 12 cm. They just didn´t want to be any smaller. And I think, one should not be-little women, so I gave in quite fast.
All lined up like this, they look a bit like a choir. And I´m not certain that they are old either. But they do look like they´ve been out and around, with their ever-so-slightly-“Yeah-and-what-else-is-new?!”-look in their eyes.
I choose to believe that they are distinguished, smart, strong and beautiful (at least on the inside) grandmothers. Grandmothers aren´t that old now a days, as they were when I was little. Back then they all had polyester dresses and aprons and grey hair. Now they wear jeans and high heels. And there´s not a grey hair in sight!
Maybe I´ll join this group of wonderful women in say… around March 😉 So what do you know, maybe grandmothers have been even more on my mind than mooses! 😉
I think they are wonderful! And there is no better group to join than the Grandma Group!
