Eidesvik has recently finished a new office building, and with it, a new reception.
I got the very honorable task of designing a new reception-desk for them. To be honest it´s the first piece of furniture I´ve ever designed. At least in this scale.
We wanted it to look like the hull of a ship, stylized. It even has a “help-deck” in the front.
It´s all been built in wood, and painted in the exact same color as Eidesvik´s large ships, with the same logos on it as well.
The desk is just over 3 meters long, and between 60 and 100 cm wide, and 110 cm tall.
Seen from the front. I cooperated with a very talented carpenter at Designproduksjon in Stavanger in the making of the desk. He´s done an excellent job, materializing my vision & design.
