Christmas fun 2014

Happy Christmas to you all! Since the eve has come and gone, and presents are given and received, I guess I can safely share a couple of the gifts I made.

Our oldest girl wished for sofa-cushions, pale with silver stars on them. She had seen them in a magazine, but couldn´t find them in any shops. So I made some for her. I used acrylic paint on textile, partly because I haven´t found a good metallic paint for fabric, and partly because it´s not something she will be washing all that often.

For our Grandkid, I knitted this alpaca wool sweater. Here I used fabric paint, to stamp on the polar bear. I made the stamp for another project a few years ago, it´nice to reuse them on totally different projects.

Ok, the next gift I didn´t make. But I sure took a long time to to wrap it! I´m guessing you can guess what it is 😉 And I can tell you, it was a big success! He loves being cowboy, riding the horse!

On the second day of Christmas we got snow! The very first snow for our 9 month old Grandkid. Grandpa had to take him out on the sleigh, and went round and round and round in the garden.

(These lazy days between the holidays, I´ve already started the production of next years gifts. I have to make a better effort at making gifts, and avoiding buying them, especially when I actually can make them. )

I do hope you are enjoying the Christmas days just as much as I am.
