A new year is here, and I want to take time to celebrate some of my favorite memories from the year that´s gone. Here are some of my highlights:
January: PERPLEKS, costume-design for Perpleks at Rogaland Teater. In June, it wins Hedda for best show!
February: Optiship, reception art for a new shipping company.
March: The biggest highlight of the year, was Nikolas being born, our grandchild. But work-wise, the exhibition Familylife in the lighthouses was also born. It´d been a pregnancy of 1,5 years, so it was certainly due! This exhibition will be on the road the rest of the year.
April: Svalbard, my most exotic travel ever.
May: This year I am a part-time student of Textile-culture
June: King Kødd, a fairytale with a twist, premiers in Oslo with my costume-design.
July: Stril Luna, Møkster Shipping, built in Spain, filled with arctic art…
August: a friend visits from the USA, and we travel through Hordaland to check out some of the national treasures.
September: Tau-exhibition and the tote bag from Tou
October: Teaching scenography to teacher students making a fantasy-opera called The shamer´s daughter
November: My international art-exhibition debut at Bovbjerg, Denmark.
And finally back at Haugesund Teater, making props and a house for Pippi Long stocking
December: My student work, the homemade male lace bra!
Let´s all hope 2015 will be a more peaceful year internationally, where understanding and tolerance can blossom. Let´s also hope it brings with it just as many creative tasks and commissions.
