Time passes quickly when there are deadlines in the horizon. I´m busy working on costume-designs for summer-shows. I can´t show you anything yet, but I´ll tell you more about them as they get closer, and I start sewing.
I did manage to sneak in a little private creative project this weekend though. A little pin-cushion sewn from silk left-overs. It´s only about 2 inches in diameter, and filled with yarn (much better than fabric for pushing pins through).
I already have a pin-cushion, so I thought maybe you´d like this one?
So how do you win?
Easy! You leave a comment on this post, telling me what your favorite idea for making-someone-else-happy-guerilla-art. You know what I mean? How to secretly make someone else happy, through a little art or craft-project. The secret being, them not knowing who made them happy.
If you promote my giveaway on your blog, you get 2 entries! Feel free to pull this image to use on your blog. And don’t forget to leave me a comment so I know you did.
I´ll draw a name of the Random-hat on Friday. So you have the whole week to come up with excellent ideas!
I like making up little beautiful mixed media bookmarks, and leaving them behind in the library books with a little sticky saying something like,”you are awesome, this is a little gift for you!” Guerilla kitting (yarn bombing) is awesome too…but I can’t knit, so I just enjoy that one. :o) I want to promote your giveaway on my blog, but I don’t know how to pull an image. Ah! technology scares me! Hahaha! I really need to learn alot this year. I don’t know how to pull a badge or make a link! I need help I tell ya!!OOOH! By the way, you won on my blog! yay!! I couldn’t pick out just one of you so I picked you all! Whoohoo!! {{hugs}} Hope you are full of joy today my friend!! T.
That pincushion is lovely!
I don’t have one (never have) and I keep intending to make myself one… but it hasn’t happened yet
I have been so in love with the photos I have seen of crochet in public places. I actually can crochet (though I can’t knit) so I hope to do it some day!
Tammy I totally am inspired by your mixed media bookmarks with notes left in library books! It’s wonderful
NO! I can’t believe I missed out on this! I love Elizabeth’s idea about her cardboard- spray painted crows…she sent a flock of them through the US postal service. Can you imagine being a post guy or gal that day??! SO cool! And to be the receiver getting a cool cut artful image in your everyday boring mail is just even better! xo
how did I miss this? I’m so behind on my good blog reading. It’s so beautiful!
