Well, that´s an intriguing title, and I´m not quite sure how to follow it up.
Except to say that once again, I´ve been to Seim working with some lovely ladies on viking-inspired costumes for the historic play “Håkonarspelet”.
I say “viking-inspired”, because the costumes for the choir, don´t have to be historically correct. As a matter of fact, they aren´t part of history. The choir, I mean. They´re in Valhall. Where all good, fighting vikings go when they die (in battle). They party all night, and the next morning they wake up fresh and fit for fight at the next battle… Mythology! What can you do?!?
I won´t bore you with the details, but can reveal that the other-worldly creatures are all dressed in the colors of the magic hour, and this weekend we´ve cut and sewn 6 double dresses with belts. Which is pretty good!
Two of my helpers: Annhja and Liv.
Omnomnom. Messing around with piles of fabric (in great colours) in a big open space.. Sounds like dreamla.. eh Valhall for girls 😀
vikings… can’t wait to see the results. I do like vikings. Eric was one from True Blood
