I´ve had the best evening! Four hours of playing around in the ceramic-department at the teacher´s college with my colleague Kathrine.

I say playing around because it must be a decade or so since I last made anything in ceramics. But of course I am on a mission!

I want to make some wall-hangings. And I want to learn raku. Kathrine specialized in ceramics, and already tonight she taught me this, that and the other. Below are her lovely little plates.

I started off with my original idea, but it looked too sloppy, tried another idea and it looked too neat. The third idea looks like nothing at all, incredibly boring and pointless. BUT, I do have an idea, and I think it just might turn out kind of cool 😉

And in any case, I had fun and am returning home with ideas to develope till the next time. If the above idea don´t work out, it´s no crisis. After all, after a decade, I´m allowed to try-and-fail a bit, before succeeding 😉
Keramikk er gøy! (Selv om resultatet aldri blir sånn som jeg hadde sett for meg på forhånd..) 😉
very very cool Janne! love the texture and composition of these pieces! i want to see them when they’re finished!!!
