GEO/ DOF´s big offshore construction vessel Skandi Bergen.
The company wanted pictures from Bergen. All the cabins got old photographs from Bergen, bought from the University´s Picture-archive. In the common-areas there are pictures from Bryggen, the old areas of the city where the streets still are narrow, and night-time pictures from Fjellsiden. It was a special experience to walk around after midnight with a camera and a tripod, while people around me were walking home from the pubs.
Bergen by night:
Oh, what a little moonlight can do…
It´s actually really fun to take pictures like this. It was too dark to see much, but when the camera was finished taking the picture (about 30 seconds), I could see details I couldn´t see with the bare eye.
Golden, but deadly flowers.
The pathway going up to Fjellsiden from the city centre.
Bryggen. these old houses are from the 17th century some of them, and they are probably THE trademark in Bergen. Although usually, you see them from the front, not the back, like here.
And my own attempt at aging the photos of the old, narrow streets of Bergen.
This church is from the 14th century, I think. Korskirken.
