I know now that this is the wrong lyrics for “Bette Davis eyes”, but for almost thirty years I firmly believed the lyrics were “Her head is hollow gold” when actually it is “Her hair is Harlowe gold”… So I don´t know if it is my hearing that is bad, or if it is Kim Carnes´ articulation that is not so great, but at the end of the day, I still really like my misconception of the lyrics. I´ve thought about that: what kind of a personality does a girl have, that is being described like that? I don´t think it´s a compliment…
That cracks me up, Janne! My brain is always mangling up song lyrics. One I remember from the oldies station – they were singing “kind of a drag” but I always thought they were saying “Canada Dry…” I couldn’t figure out why their voices sounded so plaintive while singing about a soft drink!

Wow! Have you ever thought that you’re actually right? I thought it was “hollow gold” too.
(But maybe that’s because I read somewhere that polar bears have hollow hair).
Well, I´m glad I´m not the only one, Lulu!
Hm, maybe we are right, Susan, and Kim Carnes is wrong?
