Last night, instead of watching TV, I wanted to try out something. Earlier in the day a friend had called me, asking if I could do a quick workshop on stamp-making. Usually I make them in fun-foam, and they are quite big. This time I wanted to try something different. I bought an eraser, the biggest one in the shops, but still only 4 x 5,5 cm.
I found one of my favorite self-portraits, photoshopped it into a black-and-white photo-copy. Traced the lines onto the eraser, carved it, and voila! It´s not perfect, but neither is my sight, and some of that carving was really small-scale! So I decided to be satisfied. And in any case, a better spent hour, then it would have been in the TV-couch.
oh I think it is very cool!
Thanks for the contact…I will contact her. I am trying to stay on task to finish this movie…and a CD cover, and get ready to teach at Art and Soul…and then work on tour. Sept I will start the tour talk.
