Spider silk weaving

I just have to share with you this amazing piece of textile I just read about. This is an 11-foot long woven cloth made entirely from spider silk. The golden orb spider from Madagaskar makes a safron colored thread, and over a million (!) spiders participated in making this extraordinary weave. These are the true Spindelmakers!!

It is currently on display in the American Museum of Natural History. Wish I was there! Read more about it in this New York Times article.
