Student stamp-making

We´ve been busy today, the students and me. In just four hours, we ventured at least as many different techniques. One of them was stamp-making.

Using fun-foam, they cut out (using scalpel) different shapes. They found some odd ends in the wood-craft department, and glued the  shapes onto the blocks.

A couple of the students went wild in the production, making loads of different symbols and patterns. One girl even used textured wall-paper in her printing and got some pretty cool results.

It can be fun to go big. This stamp is about 20×20 cm.

These last ones, by the way, is made by a very talented friend of mine, Christina. She´s one of Norway´s finest jazz-singers (and -writers). Listen to her PEARLS.

This is part of a finished background mainly made with self-made stamps.
