Finishing projects-week

#5 on my list is finishing one project a day for a week. I´ve got so many projects half-done! Maybe the week between the holidays are the best time for getting stuff done? I´ll give it a go, and see how it turns out….

Monday:

I painted my window frame turquoise! When I bought my house five years ago, I changed all the windows. On a few of them, I still hadn´t painted the window-frames. So I thought, what better way to add a little color to my life? This is the window by my computer. It´s so much brighter, don´t you think? Well, I didn´t take a before-photo, so you´ll just have to trust me :-)

Tuesday:

I´m making a large-scale hebrew (yiddish) alphabet stamps as part of a big set-design I´m working on. I´ll tell you more about later, as the project moves along. 😉

Yesterday was also an evening of song. There was a knock on the door, and outside there were carolers. The Norwegian tradition requires that whoever comes to sing, usually children, have to dress up, usually like “nisser” (norwegian santas). After a beautiful song or two, they get some candy or Christmas cookies. Aren´t these “nisser” cute? :-)

Afterwards we were invited to my best friends annual Christmas-song-and-music-party. Lots of friends are over and we sing Christmas carols and musical-songs. Last night was the best version (so far) of Bohemian Rhapsody 😉

What is your favorite Christmas song?

I´m torn between the traditional Norwegian “Mitt hjerte alltid vanker” (here with English translation)(here is the sami-version),  “Deilig er jorden” and “We´re walking in the air” from The Snowman.
