Once again Marianne and I have been making glass beads. I´ve used all the beads from the first time, and the second time, non of them would loosen from the metal rods. (We think the emulsion on it was to old. Bummer) But today, all was well, and we got some fun and funky beads, and a couple of beuties too
Working on a big, chunky bead with four different colors of glass.
Me with the goggles. I look like I´ve been steam-punked.
Today´s treasures. We had time for a little chicken-soup and a little jewelry-making get-together with another couple of ladies as well. Oh, it´s so much fun to create WITH someone else!
Do you recognize the big bead at the middle top? I chose to start working with that one, and wanted to combine it with something else, that wouldn´t “steal it´s shine.”
I found a little piece of seal-fur in my stuff, and am in total agreement with myself that it´s a good combination. As for the rest of the necklace, I´m trying out different solutions, and haven´t decided yet. I will show you the finished version, once I get there.
So, how was your Creative Sunday?
Oh my goodness those are lovely!!!!
Thanks, Aimee.
If you ever get a chance to try glass-bead-making, go for it.
Super-easy and super-fun!!!
That really does look like fun!
I kept trying to figure out which one I liked best but as soon as I had one singled out I would notice another!
Thank you, Emily! It so much fun making them! I´m so concentrated I hardly breathe, and all of a sudden we´ve run out of metal studs to make them on….
You look pretty hard core making those beads.
