A while ago I had a painting project at the teacher college. It took some time for me to finish the sample below, and I didn´t want to show it before it was all done. But here it is
One of the things beginners at painting find a challenge is how to mix colors. I tried to help with different painting techniques, and a bit of practical color-theory: how to mix skin-color. And in the process of show-and-tell I needed something to “show” on. And that is the background for this little painting of Axel, the guy downstairs
Making an outline of the form and giving it a base coat. Then starting to block the different main shapes.
Adding layer upon layer, using acrylics mixed with medium, to slowly get it right.
And finally, two months later/ an hour later: the finished result.
