Wow!
I´m moving out!
Well not me exactly, but I´ll now (very soon) be renting a small office-space at the theatre. But let me call it a studio, or even better, an ateliér!
Here are some pictures of the space as it is now.
This is it. Awkward photo made by putting three photos together. My 18 mm lense wasn´t wide enough, so in other words, it´s a small space. There is still some furniture in here that´s going to be moved out, like the 8 chairs and the big nautical thing in the corner and all the manuscripts. Well, everything except the big desk.
The other end of the room:
I have a view! In between the cement wall and the rusted metal warehouse, I can see the sea!
See?:
I´ll be moving in this Easter, and would really appreciate some good advice on how to make this an inspiring place (for a low cost). I have a couple of ideas on my own, but would love to hear from you!
eeeee! congrats janne! so exciting :o) Are you allowed tp paint and make holes in the wall?? What is going to be what you are mainly doing in the very cool studio or atelier!!?? Just so maybe I can think of some things for ideas for you. {{hugs}} Tam
Congratulations on the new studio/office/creative space! Woot! Woot! What fun to be able to start with a blank slate and transform it! Can’t wait to see how you make it your own!
I´m dying to paint a wall turquoise… but haven´t dared to ask!
This summer I´ll mainly be working with costumes, design and production, I think. But I do have a lot of painting that needs to be done as well, so it will have to fit both needs. I am sure can make SOMe holes in the walls. As long as they aren´t too big! Ha, ha, ha… I´m allowed to put in extra shelving and lights and basically all that I need.
Maybe I NEED a turquoise wall…?
I can hardly wait myself. There´s a rainbow of colors flying through my head every time I think of it!
Hey Janne, an aetelier ? How cools is that?
My advice … err I paint everything white at home so I know it all goes together, then I use another room so the white paint doesn’t get dirty 😉
I’m a boy. My only advice is to trust yourself – cause you have good taste!
Wonderful Easter wishes to you and your dad!
well first things first….we know janne doesn’t do all white walls!!! right?! you can paint yeah?! This is exciting you have your own little get a-way creative space!!! can’t wait to see you work your magic on this blank canvas! xo
Turquoise would be amazing!! Maybe a big inspiration board or an inspiration wire to hang beautiful things from. What a great space. I know you will make it wonderful.
You are so lucky to get an atelier!
As your blog shows, you have excellent taste for deco and art, I trust you will have it looking wonderful – show us, please!
My advice is to sit or stand at your working table and arrange things according to how you work, and what you need to have close. I think in “active” (working) and “passive”(storing or decorative) spaces.
Personally these shelves have served me well:
beautiful space and light Janne!!! how exciting! SO happy for you!
Small or not, it looks like a splendid office. I love the light.
So exciting.. It looks lovely and Light . your town looks very pretty. Fill the walls with inspiring art….
