21 – pewter raven and nuts

I guess the big day is closing is closing in on us. Maybe I should do something about the remaining gifts…?

Just yesterday this lovely pewter raven´s head arrived from ArtChix, and of course immediately inspired me to make this necklace. It´s combined with stones, shells and a couple of self-enameled beads from my Barbara Lewis class at Art&Soul.

I also added a couple of olive-colored feathers in there, to add a bit of mystique!

One down, still a couple to go. So while I get to working, why don´t you just play among yourselves with today´s advent activity assignment:

Christmas nuts, with hazels, almonds, para-nuts… and a quiz.

Invite the family along to a cozy evening around a quiz-game. My favorite is Trivial Pursuit, but any game that requires the small grey brain-cells to work-out is great!

  1. I wonder where my nutcracker is? We don’t crack whole nuts much these days (except pistachios!) like we did when I was a child. No playing for me today; my brain cells have taken on a sudden chill. Time to bundle up and pretend I’m not coming down with something!

  2. wow what a cool raven charm…it is def mystique! my head is spinning trying to get ready for the holidays, I’ve been baking cookies for the last 2 days!

my favorite quiz game with friends and family is balderdash (probably a very american board game :))

  3. Heh,I was just having a chuckle at you swapping spaces with my elf. 🙂 Okay it’s a deal, you bring the champers, I’ll bring the sailing ships and we’ll let the bartender bring the err olives?

And then I came here and had another silly grin with the ‘you just play among yourselves’ quip! 🙂 🙂

Hey, well firstly this looks so mystical, so cool, really down to earth, kind of like an up market hunstman would wear on warm winter nights. Can you have a down to earth up market huntsman? Yes now you can 🙂

Well Janne, I hope you have a wonderful joy filled Christmas and the surf is good for you … 🙂 But seriously, thank you for all your kindness this year again and sharing your wonderful work, so very inspiring you are!

Hugs from this side of the world, very chilly today, I think it is down to 33 or something ….

    🙂

    see you !
