adding color, adding life

I get so eager when I´m about to start painting a new piece of set, that forget to take before-photos…  but here is the lower bunk-bed, in it´s white base, waiting for a splash of color.

Voilá! See what a little color can do?! Three thieves, three bunk beds in a cove (not made yet) in a dirty, messy house (also not made yet). But it looks kind of cozy, doesn´t it? It´ll be quite funny too, the actors are quite tall, and the beds are a bit narrow and short, so there might be some involuntary humor…

The prison-window will be covered by pictures, removable, so that when the house turns around, it´s a prison for the same three thieves.

Part of the city gate, before and after. Plain white, plastered, but dull. Add a little washed out colors to it, and it adds not only life, but more a 3D-feeling too. I have to wait till we put it all together, and add the stage-lights, to really see if it works, but I think it´s a pretty good beginning 🙂

Some other bits and pieces I painted today.
