The result of one of this fall´s biggest jobs is here!
I had the honor of making the annual calendar for the local power-company: Finnås Kraftlag. It´s been distributed to all the houses and firms in the municipal, so there are almost 5000 around. As I said, such an honor! Most of my time went into making the 14 pictures in the calendar, but I also took care of the graphic design and the layout. (And organizing the printing and distribution.)
All the artwork are photo collages, a mix of photography, painting, found papers and documents, wallpapers… The pictures are from the different parts of Bømlo. Different seasons, different themes. Some portraits, some still life nature, some historic, some contemporary… The main theme is recognizing and appreciating the beauty of this land of a thousand islands. On the cover you can see our big mountain, Siggjo, partly made from volcanic rock. You also see part of the archipelago surrounding us. The two things we all have in common, the mountain and the archipelago, the two things we all love and are especially proud of, I think.
I will share the calendar with you gradually, as we reach new months in 2013.
