girly-girl Sunday

I´ve had a girly-girl assignment resting comfortable on my guilt since Christmas. Well, since these are quite fun to work with, a Sunday is perfect for this! 😀 But since I hadn´t made any g-girls since December, I thought I might “warm up” a bit with a couple of smaller ones.

This one I actually made years and years ago, I just found it a little while ago. I thought it was missing something, so I added quite a bit of extra of the yellow and brown fabric. She now looks rich, like she´s supposed to!

Then I did a quick little sketchy girl on a piece of hand-painted yellow cotton. She´s a bit crooked, but that´s part of the charm, right? 😉

Well, onto the the real thing! I brought out my best thick, pure silk satin from China, in a brilliant lime-green. Seriously one of my most beautiful fabrics! I´ve added almost only silks, from India, China, England, USA, some handmade lace I did for a wedding-dress once…

It´s not completely finished yet, so I´ll have to show you the result another day, sorry about that, but you´ll just have to wait 😉

Oh, and PS, for those faithful readers out there, I know I skipped the April goody-give-away. I was away, but I´ll make it up to you, by doing a double one in May. Ok?

  1. A girly-girl assignment ? Now that sounds like lots of pink things with perfume, ! Pink champagne maybe ? And did I see the word “guilt’? 🙂 That bottom photograph with all those wonderous textures and colours – can fabric make you hungry? Can it sing.? I think that one’s singing 🙂
