a new job

I´ve got a new job! At Rogaland Teater! Which is one of the best theaters in Norway, in my opinion. They´re the ones who staged MOZART last fall. And are heightening the success with a world premiere of Beethoven in September. More about that later.

My new job is in the set-department. I´m a painter! How cool is that?! I´ll be working with a lot more than just painting thought. The job is incredibly varied. Which is part of what makes it so attractive 😉

I´ve got new colleagues of course. Above is Ingrid with her first real set paint job. She´s new too. It´s more than a little nice that we are two new painters. Probably a bit more nerve-wrecking for our two other  colleagues who have to train us in all the things we don´t know yet. Which of course is hardly anything, since we´re both super-talented! 😉

Here is more of the main room where we´ll be working. The space includes the galleries, where we have our luck.room, office and desks.

Another part of the big main-room. The green wall in the back is a big fan that sucks out polluted air. Usually it´s a yellow wall. Until June, when they spray-painted a corn-field green… And yes, the big head is part of the set for Beethoven.

Just look at that painting room! A lot of the paint we´ll be mixing ourselves. I should totally get my hands on that chemical-book I´ve been meaning to read. Anyone have any suggestions?

And look! I´ve got my first pair of safety-shoes ever! (Small kids, big joys)
