In addition to the safety-shoes and the gas-mask, I need a tool belt. Like most work-clothes/uniforms/ safety-objects&clothing, the tool-belts are a) expensive and b) ugly.
So being a costume-designer/maker, I decided to make my own tool-belt!

I got this leather skirt at a charity-shop for $3. I cut the two lower front panels off the skirt. Then I sew them together around the edges and in a wished pattern for pockets. Finally I cut away some of the excess leather and the pockets magically appear!

I simply cut slices through both layers of the leather at the top, so I could slide it onto a belt. The belt is also from a charity shop. A sturdy leather belt for about $10.

All in all a pretty good bargain. And I still have plenty more leather if I need more pockets on my other hip!
That is great-looking!
LOVE that — stylish and practical!
