This week: Painting a bridge! The process starts with the carpenters who built the construction. It arrives as fresh, natural wood and my assignment is to make it look weathered.
First layer is to give it a light grey prime color coat.
Second coat is a mix of washed out paints in burnt sienna, ochre, moss, dark grey.
Darkening the shaded areas, giving highlights to the lighted areas.
Seen from above. It took some time to get all the dark shades in between the separate boards…
And from the front with half of the mountain, which is also in the process of getting paint. Neither of the pieces are completely done yet, but it´s´nice to see it coming together.
What a cool bridge!
