Fall is here, and with it, new shows to work with!

We´re hired in to make the set for Les Miserables, which will be staged at three different theaters this winter/spring: Kilden in Kristiansand, Sandnes and Festiviteten in Haugesund. It´s a BIG set, with tons of work. But it is SO much fun working with!

Along other chores, I´ve seem to made it as head brick-“mason”. If you can use the word mason when the bricks are plastic and the thing that makes it all stick together isn´t cement, but staples…. It´s like a giant 3D-puzzle, and I have to admit: I like those 😉

There´s a lot of painting going on too, layer upon layer, to make it all look gritty.

My other main task is this huge stained glass window. It´s over 3 meters high, and the glass isn´t glass but plexi-glass. Above I´ve outlined the motif, below I´ve started the filling in with color.

The paint I use is alcohol-based, which means I am wearing a gas-mask while I´m painting. I´ll keep you posted on the process.
