Backstage Weekly

“At the end of the day, you´re another day older, and that´s all you can say for the life of the poor”. Exert from Les Miserables-lyrics. And Les Miserables is what it´s all about! This week there was a big press-conference about the show, in our work-studio. And we´ve gotten quite a lot done! So maybe I should re-write the quote and say “At the end of the week, you´ve laid more bricks/had more fun/paint-washed-aged than ever before, and that´s all you can say for the life of the set-maker”

This “wrought-iron” gate took me something like 15 spray-cans to cover in shiny black paint.

And I completed an entire tiling-factory (where Fantine works). Here is part of it, partly painted.

The gate is almost ready. We´re trying to put it all together before the press and the set-designer comes for an inspection.  It´s starting to look pretty miserable, don´t you think? 😉

And what have we here? An horse in a boat? Is it sea-horse?

Næææ, it´s just part of a statue about to be built into the barricade!

Other things going on? Well, I´m happy to pose with the big moose-antlers my colleague is making. Cool, huh?! 😀
