What is this, you say? Lacy underwear? Where? All I can see are two men! Two men? What are they doing here?
No, there are more! Many more!
Freestyle machine-embroidered faces. Some with beards, some with glasses, some with mustaches, some bald, all men.
Why, it´s a bra! From a distance it may look like your ordinary black, lace bra. But up close you see all the male faces. They´ve all been embroidered freestyle on water-soluble fabric, pieced together into this delicate piece of underwear.
Even the straps are all male faces, one on top of the other.
What are all the men doing on a piece of female underwear, you ask? Well. My initial question was: who is all this so called sexy underwear for? Is it primarily a practical clothing for the wearer, or is it first and foremost a temptation for the admirers of the wearer? (I guess you can tell what my answer would be!)
Making lace by working with freestyle machine embroidery on water-soluble fabric was the self-chosen theme at the Textile Culture course. This undergarment is the final project in my experimentation, and also my exam.
Du Janne, du Janne!!. Kvar kjem all denne kreativiteten frå?
Nydelig! Og morsom!
Det vart knallbra!
Så stilig! 🙂
