Posh-ish guerilla

At the edge of summer, and I´m sewing away! Another guerilla-embroidery piece is done. I did not make all of this! Just the lettering. It was an unfinished piece I found in a charity-shop a couple of years ago, and I knew I wanted to make something with it, just not what…

The embroidery is mercerized cotton thread sewn on linen.

The text is written in my local Norwegian dialect. “Må kje anka – da e mamma sin jobb da” directly translated it means: Don´t worry – that´s Mom´s job. Which might not make much sense outside out family, but to us, it´s actually become kind of a funny, little saying. Hopefully others will also recognize the situation.
