Today\u00b4s 30-minute DIY make-over is for the ironing board.<\/p>\n

As you can see, my ironing board was pretty well worn and has been used hard during costume-projects. Stained with remnants of glue and paint. Not a nice sight for sore eyes anymore that\u00b4s for sure. So I decided to do something about it!<\/p>\n

I used linen, as that is the natural fiber that can stand the highest temperatures.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

To add a personal touch I used one of my silk-screens to print a fern heart onto the fabric. Using fabric paint that needs heat-fixation, so the color won\u00b4t rub off on anything in the future.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

First I placed the fabric where I wanted it to be, and pinned it down. Turning the board over, I stretched the fabric tight, so it won\u00b4t wrinkle when I use it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Using a staple-gun and fastened it. Screwing the iron-holder back on, and Voil\u00e1!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A new, fresh iron-board! It only took 30 minutes including a long break to check Pinterest<\/a> and have a chocolate-snack \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

And while you\u00b4re at it, use the remains of the fabric to make a little fabric bag. You can use it to store your bread, your pajamas on travels, your love-letters, or of course, use it as a romantic hide-away for your flamingos.<\/p>\n

I had enough fabric for a dish-towel as well. Ready for Valentine\u00b4s day in a jiffy!<\/p>\n
