It was loosley based on a viking pattern. With a belt with the text from the nearby church. (One of the oldest in Norway) The text is the old latin \u201cAve Maria, Gracia Plena, Dominus Sanctus\u201d written old-style.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16601\" alt=\"_MG_6018\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MG_6018.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MG_6018.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MG_6018-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\"><\/p>\n<p>The dresses have been worn a lot, and some of them needed replacing. So today\u00b4s task was to make a new belt for one of the dresses. First I freestyle machine-embroider the letters onto water-soluable fabric.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16603\" alt=\"_MG_6021\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MG_6021.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MG_6021.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/MG_6021-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\"><\/p>\n<p>Dissolving the fabric in warm water, and I\u00b4m left with only the lacy letters. I then appliqu\u00e9 them onto the &amp;nbsp;real fabric, which is a raw, natural silk.
