Time for a new calendar-book. I guess I should make them big enough to last a whole year, but partly it\u00b4s way to fun to make a new book, and partly making them twice the size they already are\u2026 I don\u00b4t know if they\u00b4d fit i my purse!<\/p>\n

Here\u00b4s the cover. The cotton velvet background fabric is a remnant from the reactive fabric dye class I took this spring. The girl is\u2026 I don\u00b4t know her name yet\u2026 any suggestions? The back isn\u00b4t done yet, what do you think: another girl or something else?<\/p>\n

I think she might be a bit of a diva though \ud83d\ude09 I did what I usually do, adding color to her face with a fabric-marker. The fabric made the marker bleed quite a lot though, so I used acrylic paint, and painted parts of her face like that. I\u00b4ll probably keep adding to her.<\/p>\n

The colors this time are autumn-colors. Strange option in the height of summer perhaps, but it will be used during the fall. All the colors are broken, from murky aqua to shriveling sunflower. And as always, the elastic band is WAY to long. (sigh)<\/p>\n

Here is my old book. The one I haven\u00b4t made an elastic band for, that now really needs it. Lots of bulging going on here. And all those tidy pages above? Below you can see what a little life-in-progress can do \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

One day I just might have to make an entire exhibition with all my calendar-books. And call it something like \u201cThe days of our lives\u201d or \u201cAs time goes by\u201d or \u201cAdd a little color = instant happiness\u201d or something.<\/p>\n
