This is my wine-cork bulletin-board that hans in my kitchen. I don\u00b4t drink a lot of wine, so it took me years to collect all the corks! I did ask around, and had several friends \u201cmaking sacrifice\u201ds on my behalf, to contribute with some of the corks \ud83d\ude42 Even colleagues of my Dad sent me some from Egypt! <\/p>\n

And by the way; don\u00b4t throw away corks! They don\u00b4t really make a lot of them anymore, switching over to screw-tops and plastic-corks. Save them, you never know when you might need them for a creative project!<\/p>\n

I got a left-over piece of very soft paper-mach\u00e9 type of wood-ish plate at my local wood-shop (sorry, don\u00b4t know the english name for \u201cpapp-plate\u201d\u2026), cut all the corks in half (and all of a sudden I had twice as many!) and glued them down with a glue-gun (quick and easy).<\/p>\n

For the frame, I used Wine-bottle labels. Now a days, most of them have sticker-glue on them, and they\u00b4re impossible to get off. But if they don\u00b4t, put the bottle in the sink, fill it up with warm water, leave it for half a hour or so, and see if they come off, by carefully pealing. <\/p>\n
After they were dry agin, I glued them down (wall-paper-glue) on the wooden frame I had made to measure. I bought an inexpensive wooden list or frame-moulding list at the same local wood-shop, sawed it on my angle-saw (Sorry about the creative language here. These words aren\u00b4t in my dictionary! Arg!) at a 45 degree angle, glued and stapled them together (with a staple-gun). After the whole thing was dry, I stained over all the labels, to tie the colors together, and give it a vintage look. <\/p>\n
