I\u00b4m using a petroleum-blue dyed water-snake skin.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-9384\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=9384\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9384\" title=\"_MG_1220\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MG_1220.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"316\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fast forward a couple of days later, and the book is finished. The pages are made from handmade, grey paper.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-9454\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=9454\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9454\" title=\"_MG_1353\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MG_1353.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"297\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Adding a few special \u201cbeads will make this a walk down memory lane. First a silk-button I made for Miss Saigon. Turned out she only needed two instead of three, so here it is!<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-9456\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=9456\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9456\" title=\"_MG_1355\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MG_1355.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"238\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Second is a small pebble from the rocky beach at Dover. I visited a siege (!) at Dover Castle with my good friend Stephanie, who is probably one of the best historical costumiers in the world.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-9456\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=9456\"><\/a> <a rel=\"attachment wp-att-9457\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=9457\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9457\" title=\"_MG_1356\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MG_1356.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"294\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here we have a turquoise from Beijing, china and a couple of my self-made glass-beads, made with the skillful instruction of another good friend, Marianne.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-9455\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=9455\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9455\" title=\"_MG_1357\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MG_1357.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"232\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I\u00b4ve also used a couple of silver-bracelets as part of the necklace. One of them I think I must have gotten when I was a baby. It\u00b4s got a little plaque with my name on it, and a very small ladybug-charm. And here you can see the entire \u201cbooklace\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9453\" title=\"_MG_1354\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MG_1354.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"572\"><\/p>\n<p>While I was at it, I also made another necklace, this one basically to make use of an old heirloom silver-necklace I got from my great-aunt. It broke, and I\u00b4ve take it to several goldsmiths, none who could fix it. So I decided to simply cut off the broken parts, and add a new centre-piece. Three more of my self-made glass-beads are now the centre of attention, and I can use Ruth\u00b4s necklace again. (I\u00b4m not sure about the colors on it, but it\u00b4s the easiest thing in the world to change the centre-pieces, so it\u00b4s not a problem.)<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-9458\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=9458\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9458\" title=\"_MG_1352\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MG_1352.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"191\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p># 42 was totally done yesterday! I\u00b4ve not had such a relaxing day in ages. Didn\u00b4t do a thing!
