Professionally processed, dried and dyed a pearly mint. It\u00b4s small, only about 8\u00d710 cm (3\u00d74 inches). <a rel=\"attachment wp-att-10368\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=10368\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10368\" title=\"_MG_2049\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/MG_2049.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"297\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I wanted to use it for a miniature book, preferably so small I could use it as a pendant in a necklace.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-10369\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=10369\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10369\" title=\"_MG_2055\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/MG_2055.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"291\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Binding the duck-egg blue handmade paper.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-10370\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=10370\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10370\" title=\"_MG_2057\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/MG_2057.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"247\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The warts on the skin are actually a bit bumpy, so a little help from these little helpers is much appreciated, when gluing the skin down with not-too-much seam-allowance.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-10371\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=10371\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10371\" title=\"_MG_2058\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/MG_2058.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"219\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the back I applied a small, turquoise metal ring, and added a sterling silver hook on it. The silver is naturally oxidized by age <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/simple-smile-54.png\" alt=\":-)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\"\/><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-10372\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/?attachment_id=10372\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10372\" title=\"_MG_2059\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/MG_2059.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"313\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here it is, the finished book.
