I\u00b4m back from Buskerud where I had the best time with these 12 ladies. All of them folk high school art & textile teachers. Here they are posing with some of their results from the one-and-a-half-day workshop. (click on the picture, and it becomes a bit bigger)<\/p>\n

Grete\u00b4s work-in-progress.<\/p>\n

Grete, my old class-mate from teachers college, made this colorful girl with the heart-shaped mouth. How fun to see her again, it\u00b4s been 18 years! Time really does fly\u2026<\/p>\n

A desert-princess with a sand-storm in her hair.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Britt hadn\u00b4t really sewn much before at all, and was very pleased with her nubian priness. So am I!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Isn\u00b4t this just too cute?! With the cross-eyed expression \":-)\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The fun thing with this freestyle embroidery, is that you don\u00b4t have total control of the machine, and that in makes the most wonderful expressions turn up. Oddny\u00b4s bag is going to be great!<\/p>\n

Here is a peak at Gunn\u00b4s face-in-progress.<\/p>\n

Her line is expressive, and the details are amazing!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Gunn wants to make it into a pillow instead of a bag. One more way of using the technique.<\/p>\n

Eli made this golden disco-queen. Still in progress here, but she used her purse out to dinner the same evening!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Another one I unfortunately don\u00b4t have a finished picture of is Marianne\u00b4s. Her girl is sewn here, just needs a little color in her face, and then sew the purse together. She\u00b4s not as pale in reality as she looks here though, bad lighting. Sorry.<\/p>\n

Anne Torill made this blonde pirate-girl pompadour-purse. She is just so cool!<\/p>\n

Elin was the organiser of the workshop, and also an attendee. She wanted to challenge herself by working with colors she didn\u00b4t usually use.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Her big bag turned out just as beautiful as herself!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Annik came straight from a two week school-trip to Nepal&nbsp; to the workshop. She made this little pompadour-girl.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Ingvild made a romantic flower-power hippie.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Line has a five year art-education, and has her own personal style that shines through. So cool! She made this bag for her niese.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And finally, Evy made this very groovy girl. I think she looks like a tall, blonde model\/actress from California.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Since the workshop lasted a day and a half, so we had time to throw in some other techniques as well. Stamp-making from both fun-foam and erasers was on the agenda. Britt made this big stamp of Dorothy of Oz, and stamped her top.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You can see it in the first picture of the post. Above her is Line in her newly stamped top as well, with the power-lines. Again, so cool! Working on it below.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Thanks ladies for a great couple of days! You are such an inspiration to be with, and you do such an important job in the folk high schools!<\/p>\n
