First day at Art&Soul, and my first workshop:<\/p>\n

See?! Tropical birds! This is Clark wishing you welcome into the class!<\/p>\n

Meet my three wonderful students: Ruth, Jo Beth and Angela. Here we are looking at birds, deciding which one to start working with.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This is Jo Beth\u00b4s choice. Step one done: getting the backing fabric in place.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And step two, all the free-style machine embroidery. Her little parrot isn\u00b4t finished yet, but you can see how much she\u00b4s done in these few hours. The bird is filled with tiny stitches!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

How cute are these two love-birds!?!<\/p>\n

Angela<\/a> with her BabyLoc. \ud83d\ude42 Check out her blog, and she\u00b4s got some really cool treasures in her&nbsp;Etsy-shop.<\/a><\/p>\n

What a difference! She\u00b4s not finished either, but you can see how great she\u00b4s coming along in her 3D-effect on the chest of the left bird.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And finally you have Ruth.<\/p>\n

Wonderful Ruth who took me to Fabric depot<\/a> after class. It\u00b4s only the largest fabric shop in the west. Oh-yes! I can absolutely do with that! Giant supermarket-size fabric-store! It didn\u00b4t hurt that everything was 30% off, either\u2026 Bring it on!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Anyway, here is Ruth\u00b4s tropical tucan! Sorry to say, I don\u00b4t have an after-photo of her bird.<\/p>\n

And my three students at the end of the class. I am so proud of them! They did a great job, and made their own personal variations of the birds, so I learned something new too \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
