My next workshop at Art& Soul is the textile portraits. This is a two-day class, and I have four wonderful students. Jo Beth you met yesterday. She\u00b4s back today, working on a beautiful native American.<\/p>\n

This is from the first part of the workshop, where we paint our own fabric, using plain cotton and fabric paint.<\/p>\n

Then there\u00b4s Susan, who is only joining for one day, as she is teaching herself tomorrow<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Step two is working with applique.&nbsp;Susan\u00b4s working on none other than Frida Kahlo.&nbsp;This is in a very early stage, but can you recognize Frida?<\/p>\n

The ever charming Tammy!<\/p>\n

Also at an early stage, but can see how the smile is the same as with the maker \ud83d\ude09 A self-portrait in progress!<\/p>\n

And finally Paula from Florida. She is about to start on her daughter\u00b4s portrait.<\/p>\n

At th end of the second day, this is what JoBeth\u00b4s Indian looks like:<\/p>\n

She\u00b4s still got a little work to do on the hair an his clothing, but isn\u00b4t his face just awesome?!! The subtle colors and shading\u2026 Lovely!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Equally lovely, but in a totally different way is Tammy\u00b4s self-portrait. Tammy is fun and whimisical, and so is her use of color: festive just like her.<\/p>\n
