The second day of the painting workshop with the 11-year olds. I loved overhearing their conversation this morning: \u201cHow do I make brown?\u201d \u201d You just mix blue and yellow and red!\u201d or \u201cThis color isn\u00b4t the right!\u201d \u201cYou need more yellow!\u201d and so on. They\u00b4ve really gotten good at mixing the colors. I didn\u00b4t even tell them I had more colors in the box. They didn\u00b4t need them!<\/p>\n

Sebastian here was a master at mixing colors, not a single paint went on his paper before being mixed with something else. Which needless to say, brought a lot of life to his background.<\/p>\n

Sander is really good with the details, he\u00b4s looking at the shades and highlight on a viking-helmet.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Johanne made this still-life of an apple, also working with where the shade falls and where the highlights reflect.<\/p>\n

I would NOT like to meet this mean viking in the woods on a dark night! Painted by Mikael.<\/p>\n

After two full days of painting, there was hardly any wall-space left, it was all covered with newly painted artwork! Look at all the cool viking-ships! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I could show you so many more wonderful paintings, all 16 kids have their own personal expression. Some of them have really taken to heart what I\u00b4ve been teaching them. Now all they need is practice. I am already looking forward to meeting them again in January!<\/p>\n
