Sunday is the first in Advent, and it is the half-official \u201copening-day\u201d of the Christmas-season. This is the day when all the outdoor Christmas-lights are lit in the streets in city-centers. Our local theatre has also made a special marking of the event in our little town for the past at least 20 year. This year however, there is a new Santa in town! An additional Santa, to the 3-4 usual Santas (one from each district of the island). The new Santa is the Eidesvik<\/a>-Santa. Eidesvik is a shipping-company that employs several hundreds people, and they are pretty much all over the world, even on Christmas eve. So they need a special Santa, to visit them all!<\/p>\n

And here he is!<\/p>\n

That is, here is part of his newly sewn costume. The silk and wool top is still missing the belt in this picture. And of course the hat, pants and boots. But those we will find in the wardrobe.<\/p>\n

The top is quite special, and not because it\u00b4s got mongolian sheep-fur lining &nbsp;along the arms and collar. Nope, it\u00b4s the special speed-tummy!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Now if you should think that a tummy like this would only slow you down, instead of speed things up, I am sorry to inform you that you are mistaken. Don\u00b4t trust me, ask Eidesvik! <\/a> They have, after years of innovative research, won international prizes for their super-efficient and environmentally-friendly ship-design. And the X-bow is one of the most famous features on their ships.<\/p>\n

See?!! It\u00b4s the same shape!<\/p>\n

So with this super-efficiently shaped tummy, the X-bow Santa actually WILL reach all of the 26 Eidesvik-ships during on busy Christmas night! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
