My almost-niece and almost-nephew came over for their annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/painting-with-the-kids\/\">paint-a-Christmas-present-for-Daddy-day!<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13264\" title=\"_MG_2719\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/MG_2719.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"348\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/MG_2719.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/MG_2719-150x149.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\"><\/p>\n<p>We start the day by eating a huge dinner of tacos! Then we put a big plastic cloth over the working table, and they get a canvas and a palette each. They\u00b4ve got color codes, Ylva makes her pictures in blues, and Bj\u00f8rn Andre in greens. Ylva is seven years now, and knows well what this is all about, and what she wants to paint. Bj\u00f8rn Adre is only 1 1\/2, and last year he didn\u00b4t really understand any of it, but thought it was great fun, once he got the feel for paint in between his fingers.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13263\" title=\"_MG_2718\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/MG_2718.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"343\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/MG_2718.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/MG_2718-150x147.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\"><\/p>\n<p>This year, though, he simply wasn\u00b4t interested. Didn\u00b4t see the point at all. And it was a lot more interesting that Axel was assembling Christmas lights. Now cords and hammer, that he gets! He absolutely needed to some \u201cbanging\u201d in the window pane and on my couch.
